Cecil has been a part of our workforce before – but as a summer student while wrapping up one of his undergraduate degrees at the University of Augustana. Once completed, Cecil dove into the construction industry starting out primarily as a residential estimator after completing the CRBSC Estimating courses. He proceeded to pack up his new knowledge and journey all the way to the “Land Down Under” – Australia! He spent whatever time he wasn’t soaking up the vitamin D participating in the construction of airports, thus obtaining invaluable field experience he now utilizes.
We’re ecstatic to have Cecil back and playing a major part of our team again, now as a key member in the estimating department and Vantage Building Supplies’ storefront. He currently specializes in: contractor sales, takes offs, windows and doors, and estimates, and if you’re not sure, just ask! Always quick to share his sense of humour, you can locate him by either following the sound of his infectious laugh or in his office located to the left of the store’s front desk.

Always having a knack for building and construction, Kris came to Vantage when he was just 15. He started out building bins (and skipping school to come to work!) for a few years before going to NAIT for his Journeyman certificate in 2000. Kris started back full time with Vantage immediately after graduating and became foreman of the metal building erection crew one year later. Following an injury in 2014, Kris began working in the office during his recovery and developed a niche for working with customers and utilizing his knowledge and experience in the trades to better assist our customers. He lives on an acreage with his family, known as the 5K, his wife Kristen and their children, Kenzie, twins Koen & Kynlee, and Kooper. Kris is also known as ‘Krash’ around here. If you’re curious how he got that nickname just ask!

Kyle was raised here in Vegreville, but has experienced quite a bit of the surrounding areas in South-Eastern Alberta as well. In the span of time since completing high school he has sampled Architectural Technology classes at SAIT before taking his skillset and jumping straight into Edmonton’s work force where he focused primarily on drywalling for six months. Afterwards he moved to Camrose where he resided for two years before joining our company’s field crew in 2017. He thrived in the field for one year before an injury brought him into our office ranks, where he can now be found behind the Vantage Building Supplies front counter and is more than happy to help you find whatever item you’re in search of for your projects!
Outside work hours Kyle spends recreational time searching for new music to listen to as he works on projects or overcomes new games he’s discovered. During the Summer season you may just pass him biking on one of the roads around town as he and friends train for the upcoming annual MS Bike Tour.
